E-Commerce Automation Online shop Website Website relaunch

neyo.: An online shop, reknitted stitch by stitch.

A knitwear label from Aachen, handcrafted in five workshops in Kathmandu, an online shop that has been selling since 2008. KonzeptCode has looked after the system for years; in 2026 the decision was made together to rebuild the website completely. It was built right next to the running shop: a kit of 18 modules, every function of the old system reconciled, the founder working in the editor herself from day one. On 28 September the switch was flipped, in a single morning, and the selling never stopped.

Why you never simply switch off a running shop

Behind neyo. stands handcraft: cashmere and other pure materials from the Himalayas, made in five workshops in Kathmandu by 35 makers the label knows by name. Sales run through neyo.eu, shipped from Aachen, since 2008. The shop is window display and till in one; this is where the orders come in.

After many years, the decision was clear: the website should be rebuilt completely. But a shop is not a brochure you swap overnight. Daily orders, customer accounts, invoices and Google visibility all hang on it. So the brief was simple: build new, without pausing sales for even a single day.

The new website took shape invisibly next to the old one

For customers and search engines, months went by and nothing changed. Behind that, the complete rebuild was under way. This is what it looked like:

  1. Selling carried on in the familiar shop the whole time. Anyone ordering ordered as always: no under-construction notices, no half-finished pages, no maintenance mode. The new website grew invisibly alongside, visible only to the owner and to us.
  2. The owner could see the real state at any time. No click-through mock-up, no draft PDFs: she checked the new website inside the running shop, with her real products and prices. Feedback flowed continuously, and much of it she changed herself on the spot. In the end there was no surprise; she already knew every page.
  3. Everything the shop does day to day came along. Invoices that go out automatically. A search that understands colour names and article numbers. The magazine that picks up every newsletter by itself. Before the switch, it was checked point by point that none of this was missing. Only once that list was empty did the switch get its date.
  4. The switch itself: one morning, with a plan B in the back pocket. On 28 September the switch was flipped. Every address stayed valid: anyone opening an old link from Google, a newsletter or their own bookmarks lands on the right page. Just in case, the way back to the old website lay ready, one simple step. It was never needed.

What is really at stake when a shop moves

In a relaunch it is rarely the design that goes wrong, it is everything around it: orders that never arrive. Customer accounts nobody can get into any more. Invoice numbers that jump. Google results leading nowhere. Exactly these points were on the list that was worked through before the switch and checked once more on the day itself.

After the switch we played through the shop like a customer: browse, open a product, add to cart, check out, into the account. Everything worked. For visitors it was a morning like any other, and that was precisely the goal.

A new look, and everyday work got easier

The new neyo.eu tells what the brand is about: the people in Kathmandu, the materials, the vision. Plus a shop that matches the new look all the way into cart, checkout and account, instead of switching decades at the till.

And everyday work has become easier: the owner edits texts, swaps images and assembles new pages herself, without commissioning someone for every little thing. The newsletter still travels into the magazine on its own. The website is no longer a project you have to call about, it is a tool operated in-house.

The shop kept selling. On every day of the rebuild.

A complete rebuild next to live sales, a switch in one morning, a plan B that was never needed. Customers noticed nothing of the rebuild, except at the end.

The switch

For months the new website took shape invisibly next to the old one. The switch itself took one morning: 28 September, every address stayed valid. The way back lay ready and was never needed.

Nothing was lost

Orders, customer accounts, invoices and every everyday function of the shop carried on without interruption. Anyone opening an old link today lands on the right page.

Konzeptcode rebuilt our shop completely on the technical side and developed it further to fit our individual needs. The implementation was demanding and very well thought out, with many tailor-made solutions, especially cross-platform integrations.

For us as non-developers the technical depth is not always easy to follow, which makes us all the more grateful to have Konzeptcode at our side, and on a personal level it is a great fit too: committed, helpful and with a strong sense of responsibility for the project.
